Trump g7 Countries

Membership is a matter for the existing trump g7 countries to decide. Australia's position and views on Russia are well known and won't change at all due to their involvement in trump g7-plus,'' a spokesman told The Australian Financial Review.

Mr Trump announced on the weekend plans to officially invite Mr Morrison and other "nice" US partners – Australia, South Korea and India – to an expanded trump g7 forum, along with Russia. China was excluded.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau rejected Russia's participation.

"Its continued disrespect and flouting of international rules and norms is why it remains outside of the trump g7 and will continue to remain out.''

Britain has lodged similar objections. Mr Morrison's office pointed out Australia was also a guest at last year's trump g7, held in France.
